1. Over-molded Cable
Assemblies: Cables where the connector is attached, then the connector
housing is formed by injection molding plastic over the cable.
2. Electro-Mechanical
Cable: A cable that is part of an electrical or mechanical piece
of equipment that is used to transport power and/or information from one
place to another.
3. Injection
Molding: The process by which a hot, pliable material (in this
case, generally a plastic or polymer) is forced into a mold to form a
solid part once it cools. Most plastic items are injection molded.
4. Metal Stamping:
The process by which the shape of a piece of metal is altered by applying
an enormous amount of pressure with a tool. Coins and electrical terminals
are made using this process.
